What this Android screen recorder is for
Vidma Screen Recorder Lite is a free Android app for recording whatever is on your screen as video. The developer aims it at gamers, vloggers and other people who make video, and also at students recording an online lecture and at businesses that share information by video.
The lite edition carries the full set of recording features, according to the listing. It is free to use, with no subscription, and it adds no watermark to the videos it makes.
Recording gameplay and screen video with audio
The recorder captures screen video with audio, which the developer names as its core use for gamers and storytellers. The listing also describes HD live video capture, so the app is positioned for recording live content as well as saved clips.
Lecture recording is a stated use. A student can capture an online class from the screen while it plays, and keep the video for later review.
Facecam and reaction videos
The facecam feature records your screen and your camera together in one session. The listing points to this for making reaction videos, where the viewer sees both the content and the person responding to it.
Because the camera and screen are captured at the same time, the two streams stay in step within one recording rather than needing to be combined afterward. The listing does not describe any separate editing step for this.
Watermark-free, subscription-free output
Videos from the app carry no watermark, and the developer states that all features are available without a subscription. Someone who records for their own channel or for work can use the output without an app logo on it.
The Lite name refers to a smaller build of the full recorder. The listing presents it as having the same screen recording features as the main app, so the free version is not described as missing any recording options.
