What ScrollGuard is for

ScrollGuard is a productivity app for people who lose time to short-form video and feeds that never end. The developer names Reels, YouTube Shorts and general doomscrolling as the main targets.

It suits someone who wants to keep using social media but spend less time in the scroll. The listing describes the goal as more focus and less screen time.

Blocking short videos without blocking the whole app

Most app blockers cut you off from an entire app. ScrollGuard works on the addictive part instead: the short-form video and infinite feed sections, which it disables.

The rest of the app remains available. That is the difference the listing draws between ScrollGuard and a full app block.

Reducing doomscrolling and screen time

The app is built around cutting back on doomscrolling, the habit of scrolling feeds without stopping. The listing ties this to better digital wellbeing and more time for other things.

The listing does not describe timers, schedules or usage reports, so this section covers only the stated goal of blocking the feeds that drive the habit.
