Shoot the Box: Gun Game is a casual shooting game played from a horizontal side view. You aim at boxes that appear on screen, and the listing says your aim is what determines your score. Each run is short, with a limited number of lives, so it suits players who want quick rounds rather than long sessions.
The game has two parts: a box-shooting mode with lives and scoring, and a sandbox mode where you can try weapons without the same pressure. The listing gives the sandbox as containing over 45 weapons.
You start with three lives. Missing a box costs one, and losing all three ends the game. Black boxes are the main hazard: hitting one also costs a life.
Wood boxes are the standard target and keep a run moving. Score boxes give a quick points boost, and explosion boxes trigger combos that multiply points when you hit them in the right sequence. Ammo boxes refill your ammunition so a run can continue.
Gold boxes give you gold, which the listing says you use to level up your weapons. Upgrading is how a run gets stronger over time.
Powerup boxes unlock special weapons with distinct shooting mechanisms. The sandbox lets you handle the full roster of more than 45 guns, including pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles, a laser gun and a freezer gun, to compare how each one shoots.
Points come from hitting boxes accurately, with explosion boxes adding combo bonuses on top. Because aim drives the score, accuracy is the main way to climb.
Scores are posted to a global leaderboard, so you can see where your results sit against other players. The listing presents climbing this board as one of the game's main goals.
