SecureSimple Workout Log: The original minimal workout tracking app
By Irfan Rosli
News editor
Simple Workout Log is a workout tracker for people who log sessions at the gym. It handles weight lifting and cardio in the same place, and the developer built it to cut down on the typing needed to record a session.
Most of the logging happens on its own. You start an exercise and the app records the date and time, so the entry is made before you have entered anything.
When you begin an exercise, the app brings up when you last completed it. That lets you see your current numbers next to the previous ones without looking through a notebook.
The comparison is meant for quick checks between sets and sessions, so you can aim to beat the last result.
The History function keeps your past exercises. You can search them, open any entry to view it, change it, or delete it.
Because every entry carries its own timestamp, the history doubles as a dated record of your training over time.
The app is free to use and shows ads. A PRO Key, sold on Google Play, removes the ads.
The core logging and history tools are described as part of the free version, and the PRO Key only changes the ads.
The build we hold is Simple Workout Log 3.9.84 (APK) for Android 6.0 and up.
