Simply Guitar - Learn Guitar

A guitar course for complete beginners

Simply Guitar is a video-based guitar course. The listing says no experience is needed and that it suits all ages, and it claims to work with any guitar. Lessons run as step-by-step tutorials that you work through at your own pace, so it is aimed at people starting from zero.

Video lessons for chords and songs

Each lesson is a video that walks through one part of playing at a time. The listing says you can start playing chords and songs from the early lessons rather than waiting for theory to finish. Learning favorite songs is presented as the main goal, so the course is built around playing tunes.

Feedback on whether you are playing correctly

While you practise, the app gives feedback on whether you are playing correctly or need guidance. The listing presents this as the way you find out if a part is right as you learn it. It shows where you need more work instead of leaving you to judge that alone.

Fundamentals, tabs, chords and strumming

The course covers guitar fundamentals, reading and playing tabs, playing chords, chord switching and strumming techniques. It also includes technique exercises meant to build specific skills, along with tips for playing correctly.

Chord switching and strumming are listed as separate topics, so each has its own place in the course rather than being folded into chord work.

Tuner, progress tracking and musician support

A tuner is included, which the listing describes as professional. The app also tracks your progress through the material. The listing says the musicians behind the lessons offer support when you need help.
