Simulado de Concursos Públicos

A study aid for Brazilian public contests

Simulado de Concursos Públicos is aimed at people preparing for public service contests in Brazil. Its developer, Rall Softwares, calls it a private, independent app for educational use, and says it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government body.

The listing describes the material as free. The app's content is built around past exam questions and news about contest notices.

Past exam questions from earlier contests

The app carries questions from previous public contest exams. The listing says these come from public, free-access sources, and it ties them to the examining boards (bancas) that set each contest.

Because the questions are drawn from past exams, they reflect the style and subjects of the boards that have already run contests.

Contest notices and the sources behind them

News about editais, the official notices that open a contest, is also collected for the app. The listing names eight sources: the Diário Oficial da União (DOU), Cebraspe, FGV, FCC, Cesgranrio, Consulplan, IBFC and Instituto AOCP.

Each source is named with a web address in the listing, so the origin of any notice or question can be traced to a specific organization.

Checking dates with official channels

The listing asks users to confirm information and dates directly with the official channels of each examining board and organizing body. The app presents its own material as educational rather than as an official record.
