Sincerely - Off My Chest

An anonymous letter exchange with strangers

Sincerely - Off My Chest is built around letters. You write one without giving your name, and other users of the app read it and write back. The listing describes it as a place for secrets, questions, struggles, everyday thoughts and untold stories.

The app suits adults who want to put personal things into words for people they will never meet. Nothing in the listing ties a letter to a real identity, so the exchange stays between anonymous writers.

Writing letters and receiving three each night

You write a letter about whatever is on your mind and post it anonymously. The listing names this as the core use of the app: getting things off your chest.

Every night at 8pm the app delivers three letters from other users. Those are the letters you can read, answer or pass on support to. The timing is fixed in the listing, so the nightly delivery is the main rhythm of the app.

Replying to strangers and sending virtual hugs

Replying is the second half of the exchange. The listing says you respond to strangers' letters, so every letter you receive can become a conversation with someone you do not know.

Virtual hugs are a lighter form of support. The listing lists sending them as a way to back up other users, alongside written replies.

Content rating and the topics it covers

The listing carries a PEGI 18 rating, and the subjects it names are personal ones: secrets, struggles and stories that are not shared elsewhere. Because the letters come from strangers, what you read is not chosen or checked by you in advance.
