What the card game is and who it suits

Skycards is a game in which the cards are aircraft. The listing says the cards draw on live data from Flightradar24, the flight-tracking service, so the planes in the game follow real traffic.

The developer pitches it at two groups: casual gamers, and aviation enthusiasts who already follow planes. The gameplay is collecting, building a deck, and battling, with plane spotting as the way cards enter the collection.

Catching real aircraft with the camera

According to the listing, aircraft that fly over you in real life can appear in the game. You use the in-game camera to capture one, and it is added to your collection.

That ties the card collection to real air traffic, so what you can catch depends on what is flying near you.

Building a deck and upgrading cards

Collected aircraft models are assembled into a deck, which the listing calls a fleet. The aim is a varied set of models.

Catching the same model more than once upgrades the cards. Duplicates therefore have a use instead of just adding clutter.

Card battles and character progression

You challenge other players to card battles using your aircraft cards. The listing does not describe the battle rules in detail.

Your avatar levels up. The listing says levelling earns coins, unlocks new features, and gives access to more apparel for the avatar. The developer presents the coins as a progression reward, and the listing does not say what else they buy.
