Play ProtectAccurate weather forecast, maps, news and alerts for locations across India

Skymet Weather is a weather app for India. It combines forecasts, live conditions, maps, news and alerts for locations across the country. The developer says its forecasts are produced by a team of meteorologists and are aimed at local areas rather than whole regions.
It suits people who need to plan a day around weather, such as commuters, farmers, travellers or anyone watching for rain. The developer names monsoon showers and heatwaves as the seasonal events it is built to track.
The app shows live weather updates and forecasts for the locations you look up. The developer says these come from a network of more than 10,000 automatic weather stations, so the readings reflect measured conditions and not only model output.
Use it to decide whether to leave early, delay travel or move outdoor work. The listing does not break the forecast into named time ranges, so check the app for the detail it offers.
Rain alerts notify you when rain is expected or arriving. The developer lists these as one of the app's main functions, aimed at helping users avoid being caught out in a storm.
Alerts are most useful during the monsoon season, when the developer says the app tracks post-monsoon showers as well as heavy rain.
Skymet Weather includes weather maps and a news section covering weather. The listing describes the maps and news as part of the same app as the forecasts and alerts, so you can move between a map and the forecast for the same area.
The listing does not describe the map layers or the news sources in detail.
The build we hold is Skymet Weather 4.65 (APKS split bundle) for Android 6.0 and up.
