SmartRent - Opening Doors To A Smarter World

Editor, tools and utilities
SmartRent is a companion app for controlling a home's door lock and thermostat from a phone. The developer lists it as a way for residents to manage comfort, access and convenience from one place. It suits people who want to check on or change their home's locks and heating while they are away.
The features fall into a few groups: door access, heating and cooling, routines and voice control, and monitoring. Each depends on the home's connected devices, so the app is only useful where those devices are installed.
The build we hold is SmartRent 4.10.1 (APKS split bundle) for Android 8.0 and up.

You can lock or unlock the door from wherever you are. The developer also lets you create access codes that work only for a set period, which you can give to family, friends or service providers. Once the period ends, the code stops working, so you do not have to collect a key or change the lock.
The lock activity record shows when the door was opened and by whom. The listing says it can be used to check when guests or maintenance visited.
The app lets you adjust the thermostat remotely. You can also build custom schedules that change the temperature at set times of day. The developer presents these schedules as a way to lower energy use and cost, for example by setting the heating to drop while the home is empty.
Automations let you set up sequences that run on their own as part of a daily routine. The listing names voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, so the same lock and thermostat functions can be triggered by speaking to either assistant.
You can also link a Ring account to the app. The developer presents this as a way to manage Ring devices alongside the SmartRent controls instead of switching between two apps.
The app sends alerts when the home may have a leak, and the developer says these are sent immediately. Combined with the lock activity record and the thermostat controls, the app gives a single view of several parts of the home. The listing does not describe what kinds of sensors produce the leak alerts.
