Play ProtectRetro SEGA platformer

Sonic Mania Plus is a side-scrolling retro platformer published by Netflix, Inc. under the Sonic franchise, with a 1990s look and feel. It is built as a remix of earlier Sonic games and includes callbacks and Easter eggs to them throughout.
The listing describes it as suited to both longtime Sonic fans and players new to the series. Playing requires a Netflix membership.
You pick one of three characters before a run. Sonic is the fast option, Tails can fly over parts of a stage, and Knuckles is stronger and can break through obstacles that stop the other two.
The listing presents the three as distinct ways to move through the same levels, so the choice changes how you handle each section.
The core loop is running and jumping across levels full of pitfalls, enemies and obstacles. Your score is tied to the gold rings you collect along the way, and timing jumps well is central to avoiding damage.
Rings also act as your health. If an enemy hits you while you hold none, you lose the run.
Some puzzles are hidden in the stages. Solving them gives you special rings and reveals Chaos Emeralds, which the listing says you find as you progress further into the game.
These extras sit alongside the normal ring collecting, so they reward exploring a stage rather than just reaching its end.
The game reworks classic Sonic zones and adds new boss fights against Dr. Eggman's robot army. The listing frames the zones as a return to the earlier games with a different layout and new challenges.
The new bosses are the main addition to those zones, and the remixed stages are where the series references appear most often.
The build we hold is Sonic Mania Plus - NETFLIX 5.5.3 (APKS split bundle) for Android 8.0 and up.
