Sentence practice for children who know many words

Speech Therapy 6: Sentences is the sixth app in ImagiRation's speech series, which moves from preverbal exercises up to full sentences. The developer aims this step at children who already know a good number of words and are ready to put them together. The developer also says its earlier app MITA was clinically validated and downloaded by more than 3 million families.

Copying full sentences from video models

The main content is more than 100 prerecorded video exercises. In each one, a child watches a model say a sentence and is encouraged to mirror the pronunciation. The exercises build around verbs, and the listing describes the vocabulary as 100+ verbs practiced through complex sounds and sentences.

How attempts are scored and rewarded

The app uses what the developer calls a proprietary AI algorithm to measure how closely a child's vocalization matches the model word or sentence. When the match gets better, the child earns reinforcers and PlayTime. The developer presents these rewards as the way it keeps a child working through the exercises.
