Faster ordering and payments with the most server-friendly mobile POS.

Square for Restaurants is point-of-sale software for restaurant staff who take orders away from the countertop. Servers enter orders and take payment on a handheld at the table, in line, or wherever they are. The listing names bars, quick-service and full-service restaurants as the settings it is built for.
There are two hardware options. The Restaurant Mobile POS kit is a handheld with a 6.5 inch screen that can print digital receipts. Square Terminal is a 5.5 inch all-in-one device with Gorilla Glass, a physical receipt printer built in, and the restaurant software preinstalled.
The build we hold is Square for Restaurants 7.19.1 (APKS split bundle) for Android 9.0 and up.

Mobile POS on the handheld handles orders and payments away from the countertop. It requires a Square for Restaurants Plus subscription, which the listing prices at $60 per month per location with one countertop device, plus $40 per month for each added countertop device. A seller on the Free plan has to upgrade to Plus to use it.
Square Terminal needs no separate download, since the software is built into the device.
Table-side, curbside, online and delivery orders all reach the kitchen from the same handheld. Staff do not have to walk back to the countertop to enter them.
Coursing lets a team set the sequence of a meal's courses and shows when to hold each order and when to fire it. The listing presents this as a way to keep staff working in step.
Staff can look up a repeat guest's preferences, order history and server notes. The listing says this information is updated in real time, so a server sees the latest details before taking the order.
Diners can also order and pay themselves through self-serve QR codes, either at the table or instead of waiting for a server.
The app shows inventory in real time, so staff can see which items are selling and which are close to running out. The listing presents this as a way to avoid taking orders for items the kitchen cannot make.
