What SumSudoku is and who it suits

SumSudoku, also called Killer Sudoku, is a logic puzzle game that combines a standard 9x9 Sudoku grid with Kakuro style addition. The grid is divided into bordered areas, and the clue in each area's top-left corner gives the total its numbers must add up to.

It suits people who already enjoy Sudoku and want an extra layer of arithmetic on top. The developer says the puzzles are meant for players of all skill levels and ages, and no reading or word skills are involved.

Solving with sum clues and pencil marks

Each puzzle follows normal Sudoku rules: the digits 1 to 9 appear once in every row, column and 3x3 box. The area sums must also match their clues, and no digit can repeat inside a single area.

When an area's clue leaves few options, the game can display the possible sum combinations for that area. Pencil marks let you note candidate numbers in a square without committing to them, so you can erase them as the grid fills in.

Tracking progress across puzzle volumes

The puzzle list shows a small graphic preview for each puzzle in a volume, and the preview updates as you solve it. This lets you see at a glance how much of a collection you have finished.

A Gallery view shows the same previews at a larger size. It is useful when you want to scan a whole volume before choosing what to play next.

Weekly Bonus puzzle and ad-free play

The Weekly Bonus section offers one extra puzzle each week at no cost. It gives you a fresh puzzle to try outside the regular volumes.

SumSudoku contains no ads, so puzzles can be played without interruptions between grids.
