T-Mobile Visual Voicemail gives T-Mobile customers a list of their voicemails on the phone instead of a call-in menu. Each message appears as an item you can pick out and play, so you are not forced to hear them in the order they arrived.
Activation is free and happens on first launch. Your existing T-Mobile voicemail number stays the same, and you do not need to change call forwarding. Customers using the app for the first time are asked to open it on the T-Mobile cellular network once so the account can authenticate; the listing says this is needed only one time.
Inside the inbox you can listen to messages, save them, delete them, and import voicemails. You can also record and set your voicemail greetings from the same screen, without dialing the voicemail system.
The listing describes these controls as working with a few taps, which keeps routine tasks such as clearing old messages or swapping greetings in one place.
Voicemail-to-text is part of a Premium upgrade, which the listing says costs a small monthly fee. With Premium, voicemails are transcribed and can be translated into a language you choose.
The text can be read in the app's inbox, received as an SMS message, or sent to an email address. The listing says the most recent update adds improvements to the voice-to-text feature.
