By Mei-Lin Chua
Contributing editor, apps and storefronts
Talking Tom Gold Run is an endless runner. Talking Tom runs forward without stopping, dodging obstacles and grabbing the gold that Rakoonz have stolen, while trying to stay ahead of them.
It suits players who like short, repeatable runs with a simple chase story and a steady stream of things to unlock. The listing rates its content as suitable for all ages.
The build we hold is Talking Tom Gold Run 26.5.9.20389 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.0 and up.

The main mode takes place in worlds the developer names as Venice Canals, Winter Wonderland and China Dragon World. Each world has its own setting, and the listing says every run differs from the last.
Gold is the main thing you collect along the way. It also feeds into the rest of the game, so each run gives you something to spend later.
Partway through, the game lets you hop onto a skateboard and enter side worlds that are separate from the main run. Here you perform stunts and complete time trials against the clock.
Finishing these challenges earns rewards, which the listing presents as a separate reason to play these sections rather than just running the main course.
Three power-ups are named: jetpacks for flying over obstacles, magnets for pulling in gold, and speed boosts for sprinting ahead. The developer presents these as tools for setting new records.
Used together, they change how a run plays out, and the listing describes them as the way to push a run further than the default pace allows.
Talking Tom is joined by Talking Angela, Ginger, Hank, Ben and Becca, who can be unlocked for play. Each character can be given outfits to change how they look.
Gold and tokens collected during runs are spent on building and upgrading each character's home, so unlocking characters and decorating their homes are linked to the same run progress.
