What this teleprompter app is for

Teleprompter with Video Audio is listed in the Video Players category. It is built for people who already have a script and want to deliver it on camera, such as a talk, a presentation or a video addressed to an audience. It records video on the phone while showing the script on the screen.

The listing presents it as a way to read from a script without the reading being obvious on video. The script moves down the screen while the camera records, so the recording shows you speaking to the lens rather than looking down at notes.

Recording with the front or back camera

The app records with either the front-facing or the back-facing camera on the phone. The front camera suits talking to a camera pointed at yourself, and the back camera suits filming with the phone pointed away from you.

Nothing else is named in the listing about camera controls, so the recording setup is limited to the choice of lens and the record button.

Reading a script with the scroll beside the lens

The script scrolls down the screen next to the camera lens. The text is placed close to where the camera sits, so your eyes stay near the lens while you read.

The listing says this makes it look as though you are talking to your audience when you are reading from the screen.

Preparing a script and recording a scripted video

The script is prepared before recording. You then press record, and the text scrolls as you read it aloud. The listing says the app shortens the time needed to record a video and helps a presentation feel more confident and attractive.

The listing does not describe how the script is entered or how the scroll speed is set, so those details are not covered here.
