TextFree: Free Texting App & Call App With A 2nd Phone Number
Senior reviews editor
TextFree gives an Android phone a second number that lives inside the app. The number is a dialable U.S. or Canadian line with its own area code, so people can call or text it like any ordinary number. The listing names three main uses: keeping a second number for privacy, separating personal and work contacts, and handing out a number for online marketplaces, job searches and dating apps so the real one stays out of view.
The build we hold is Text Free: Second Phone Number 13.28.1 (APKS split bundle) for Android 10 and up.

Calls and texts are free on the TextFree number. Because the line runs over Wi-Fi or mobile data, it does not need a traditional carrier plan, but the listing says it works the same way for everyday calling and texting. Messages can carry GIFs, photos and PDFs as well as plain text. The number works on the same smartphone, so no separate phone or SIM card is needed.
The main use the listing describes is giving a site, seller or app the TextFree number instead of a personal one. Signing up needs either a verified email address or a supported Google or Apple account. The listing says no government-issued ID is required. It also says the developer does not sell or share user information with third parties and does not use messages to train AI models, and points to the privacy policy for the full terms.
The free version is supported by advertising. TextFree Plus is an in-app subscription that removes ads and adds features. Those features, as the listing lists them, are verification short codes from websites and apps, a reserved number that does not expire while the subscription is active, spam calls silenced and sent to voicemail, and the option to change the TextFree number every 24 hours.
