What the Three Kingdoms strategy game involves

You play as a ruler in the Three Kingdoms period, building a state through war. The developer describes the core loop as recruiting commanders, leading forces into battle and expanding your territory over time.

The listing rates the game 12+. It is set in a historical war setting and is aimed at players who want a long strategy game built around territory and armies.

Capturing cities and gathering resources

Fortresses and cities are the main targets. You capture them to gather resources, and those resources feed the expansion of your empire.

Each capture adds to the territory you hold, so taking more ground is how the kingdom grows.

Recruiting generals and training troops

The game lets you recruit named legendary generals as commanders. You assign them to lead your forces into the fighting.

Troops are trained as part of the same growth. The listing presents the strategy as deep, with several interlocking growth systems that affect how your army develops.

Unlocking stronger military systems as you grow

As your kingdom grows, a more powerful military system becomes available. The developer says the opponents you face get harder at the same time, so expansion raises the difficulty as well as the reward.

The listing frames the long-term aim as building a large enough kingdom that the wars you fight shape the wider map.
