A shared calendar for families, couples and work groups
TimeTree is a shared calendar app for families, couples, work teams and other groups. Everyone in a group sees the same calendar, so double-booked dates and school pickups can be caught before they clash.
The listing gives three typical setups: a family coordinating errands, a couple checking each other's free times before planning a date, and a manager planning employee work shifts.
Planning events with multiple calendars and photos
You can create separate calendars for different purposes, such as one for school and another for shifts or a hobby group. Each calendar keeps its own events.
Events can carry images, so a photo or document can be posted directly to the event it belongs to. Couples can view each other's open slots in the calendar and pick dates from there.
Reminders, device calendar sync and the web version
Notifications cover new events, updates and new messages, so you do not have to keep opening the app to stay current. Reminders depend on the notification settings on your phone.
You can copy events from your device's existing calendars or sync with them, with Google Calendar named as an example. The same calendars can be opened in a web browser on a computer.
Shared notes, to-do lists and event chat
Memos can be shared with other members, and they can also hold events that have no fixed date yet. To-do lists sit alongside these shared notes.
Each event has its own chat, which the listing suggests for questions such as what time, where, and other event details. Keeping the discussion inside the event means it stays attached to the plan.
Widgets and everyday uses such as school and shows
Widgets show your daily schedule on the home screen without opening the app. The listing also suggests keeping school printouts in the app so deadlines stay in one place, and using it as a diary.
Fans can save artist schedules, movie premieres and other important dates to a calendar and share it with friends who follow the same things.
