Collect & assemble cats, survive endless waves! Roguelike merge defense
By Mei-Lin Chua
Contributing editor, apps and storefronts
Tiny Cat Assemble: Survivors is a defense game built around merging cats. You command a growing army of cat units and try to hold a position against enemies that keep arriving. The listing describes it as a roguelike merge defense game with a survivor-style structure, and as a black-comedy RPG.
It suits players who enjoy merge games, tower-style defense and short runs that get harder as they go. The story is played for laughs, so it also works for people who want a light tone alongside the combat.
The build we hold is Tiny Cat Assemble: Survivors 1.1.3 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.1 and up.

Cat units come out of delivery boxes. You open the boxes to get them into the fight, so each box is the source of new troops for the army.
Units are evolved by merging them together, which the listing says is quick. Merging is also how you build toward the skills you unlock during play. The listing does not describe how skills are chosen or how many there are.
The enemies are alien pirates who are after the delivery boxes. They attack in waves, and new threats arrive while a stage is still underway. The listing calls these battles survivor-like and describes them as fast, with large numbers of enemies on screen at once.
Each stage is said to bring new challenges, so the defense changes from one stage to the next. Combat is hack-and-slash in style, with the cat army clearing enemies as they come in.
The premise is a delivery bot carrying cargo for several planets. It crash-lands on an unknown world after a delivery goes wrong. The Big Boss's snack has also gone missing, and a galaxy-wide state of emergency follows.
According to the listing, a single failed mission can destroy an entire planet, which gives the campaign its stakes. The tone is black comedy throughout, with the cat army fighting against a space megacorp.
