A Trump Account is an individual retirement account set up under federal law and administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The app is the official way for a parent, legal guardian or other trusted adult to open and manage one for an eligible child.
Eligible children are American children under 18 with a valid Social Security Number, and the listing names children born between 2025 and 2028 for the initial Treasury contribution. The digital experience was developed with the National Design Studio, an entity within the White House Office of the Executive Office of the President.
The build we hold is Trump Accounts: Official App 2026.41.1 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.0 and up.

The account starts with an IRS Form 4547 election made for the child. Once that election is processed, the adult receives an invitation to activate the account inside the app.
After activation, the app is where the adult manages the account on the child's behalf. The listing says trusted adults can open and manage accounts for children, so the app is the main place to handle the account day to day.
The U.S. Treasury makes an initial $1,000 contribution for eligible children born 2025 to 2028, with the listing stating it begins July 4, 2026. Family, friends and employers may add money too, and their combined contributions are capped at $5,000 a year.
Some children may also receive additional contributions from nonprofit organizations or from state and local governments. Which children qualify for those is set outside the app, so the listing does not say more about them.
Contributions are invested automatically in qualifying long-term investment funds. Inside the app, the adult can track contributions, look over account activity and follow how the investments perform.
Robinhood Securities, LLC serves as trustee on behalf of the Treasury and its designated financial agent, holding the assets in a fiduciary capacity for the beneficiary. The listing includes two illustrative compound growth examples that assume a 7% hypothetical annual return. It states these are not a guarantee of future results and do not account for inflation, taxes, fees or market changes, and that all investing involves risk.
When the child turns 18, the account becomes a traditional IRA and the beneficiary takes control. The beneficiary can then use the funds or keep investing them, under the rules that generally apply to traditional IRAs.
Funds can be used for any purpose, but withdrawals are taxed as ordinary income. For higher education or a first home purchase, withdrawals may be penalty-free under IRS rules, according to the listing.
