What the Udemy app is for

Udemy's app gives you mobile access to its online course catalog. The listing describes expert-led courses across technology, business, creative thinking and personal development, aimed at people changing careers, preparing for a tech role, or building leadership and communication skills.

It suits anyone using courses for career progress rather than casual interest. The listing frames the app around upskilling, meaning learning new skills to stay in demand at work.

Building a personal course path with AI recommendations

Personal Plan builds a custom skill-building path around your stated goals, and the listing says the path changes as those goals change. AI-driven recommendations point you to further courses along the way.

Career Accelerators are curated collections of content for areas the listing calls high-impact, meant to speed up progress in a chosen field. The listing also says instructors update their content as tools and workplace needs change.

Practicing conflict and teamwork with AI role play

AI Role Play runs simulations of real workplace situations, such as conflict resolution and team collaboration. You practice the response itself rather than only reading about it.

The listing presents these simulations as a way to build job-ready competencies alongside the lessons.

Studying offline, on a TV and in dark mode

Offline downloads let you save tools and content and keep working through them without a connection. Chromecast support sends the video to a TV for a larger display.

Dark mode is offered for studying in any lighting. Lifetime access, as the listing describes it, means course resources stay available for revisiting later.

Notes, quizzes, reminders and expert Q&A

Notes and bookmarks let you capture key points inside a course so you can return to them. Quick in-app quizzes check your progress as you go.

Customized push notifications serve as skill reminders to keep a plan on schedule. When you get stuck, the Q&A feature lets you ask instructors for clarification or direction.
