What kind of detective game this is

You play a detective working through a criminal case in a city of crime. The case centres on unsolved case files linked to a legendary serial killer, and solving it means going back through those files.

The game is listed under Adventure and combines hidden object searching with puzzle solving. It is aimed at players who enjoy a crime story with puzzles built into it.

Finding evidence in hidden object scenes

Each evidence scene is a hidden object search. You look through the scene for the objects that the investigation needs.

The listing presents these searches as the main way the case moves forward, so the scenes are the place where clues are found.

Logic puzzles and riddles in each scene

The developer says each evidence scene also contains logic puzzles, brain riddles and brain teasers. These sit alongside the object searching rather than replacing it.

The listing describes the puzzles as difficult enough to need close attention, which is the part of the game most suited to players who like working out a problem slowly.

Working through the criminal case files

The crime scene investigation is the frame for the whole game. Each scene is presented as part of the investigation into the case.

Because the case files are tied to a serial killer, the game is built around a single ongoing mystery rather than unrelated levels.
