Venice helps users plan multi-stop road trips. The current version supports creating trips, viewing them in a list, navigating to trip details, and managing stops: setting a starting point and destination, adding up to 25 intermediate stops, reordering stops, editing any stop's location, removing stops, and tracking trip progress by marking stops as departed (with undo support). Stop states are visually distinct — departed stops show a checkmark icon with reduced opacity, the current stop has a highlighted border, and a progress summary at the top of the trip detail screen shows how many stops have been completed. When adding or editing a stop, users can search for a place by name using Google Places autocomplete — selecting a suggestion auto-fills the coordinates and locks the latitude/longitude fields. While the place details are being resolved a progress indicator is shown inside the dialog and the confirm button is disabled; if resolution fails, an inline error message is displayed so the user can tap another suggestion to retry. Once at least two stops are set, users can calculate the route between all consecutive stops via the Google Routes API — distance and duration are displayed inline between each pair of stops. Route data is persisted locally and automatically invalidated when stops are added, removed, reordered, or edited. The roadmap includes live GPS-based ETA and Android Auto integration.
