What the app is for

Video Downloader - Story Saver is a tool for keeping clips from the web. It finds videos on a page and saves them so they can be watched without a connection. The developer's listing presents it mainly as a way to save short social media videos and Insta stories.

The listing does not describe a setup process or a library for organising files. Its focus is on the moment of saving a video and playing it back later.

Saving videos from websites and social media

The app detects videos on web pages and offers to save them. The listing says it works with more than 1,000 websites, and it names popular social media platforms and video sites as sources for HD downloads.

The developer also describes the downloader as quick. That is a claim from the listing and has not been checked here.

Downloading Insta stories

The app is also advertised as an Insta Story downloader. It is meant to save story content from Instagram so that it can be kept after it is viewed in the app.

The listing does not say how story saving is set up or whether it needs a login.

Watching and sharing saved videos

Saved videos play offline, so they do not need a connection once downloaded. The listing lists this as the main reason to save a clip rather than stream it.

Saved files can be shared with friends from the app. The listing does not describe other sharing targets or export options.
