What the app does with a video link
Video Summarizer takes a long video and produces a written summary to read in its place. You get there by pasting a link into the app or sharing a link to it from another app. The listing aims it at people who need what a video says without sitting through all of it, such as students and people preparing briefings for colleagues.
Choosing the length and layout of a summary
Each summary can be set to one of three depths: quick bullet points, a structured outline, or a richer summary with more detail. The depth you pick decides how much of the video survives into the text. A short bullet list suits a quick check, while an outline suits notes you plan to reuse.
Pulling arguments, evidence and action points out of a video
A separate synthesis mode goes past a plot-style recap and lists the key claims a speaker makes, the evidence offered for them, the pros and cons discussed, and any next steps. The listing presents this for decisions, where you need the arguments laid out rather than the story told in order. The output is text you can scan without returning to the timeline.
Reading what viewers said in the comments
Comment insights work on the discussion under a video rather than the video itself. The summary groups the comments into points of consensus, the topics viewers disagree about, practical tips, and questions that come up often. This shows the audience's reaction in one place instead of scrolling through the thread.
Asking follow-up questions and keeping summaries
The AI chat lets you ask questions about a video after reading its summary, such as what a term means, how two viewpoints differ, or for help drafting notes. Chat is offered in your own language. Finished summaries can be saved, shared with classmates or colleagues, or sent to your computer, and backup and restore keep them synced across devices.
