What VIVE Connect is for

VIVE Connect is HTC's companion app for the VIVE Eagle AI glasses, published by HTC America Inc. Its job is to connect with the glasses and handle the tasks around them: pairing, configuration, media and updates. The listing describes it only in relation to the glasses, so it suits people who already own a pair of VIVE Eagle glasses.

Setting up the glasses and changing their settings

The app walks through initial setup of the glasses, which the listing describes as quick. After that, it is where you adjust the glasses' settings, including the settings for their AI features. Changes made in the app are managed there rather than on the glasses themselves.

Viewing and managing photos and videos from the glasses

Photos and videos captured with the glasses can be viewed in the app, and you can manage them there. The listing does not name file formats, storage locations or sharing options, so the app's media handling is limited to viewing and managing what the glasses record.

Keeping glasses software current and finding new features

The app delivers software updates for the glasses, so their firmware can be kept current from the same app used for setup. It also includes a way to explore new features and capabilities as they are added to the glasses. Both functions depend on the glasses being paired with the app.
