What this VPN and proxy app is for
VPN Ukraine is a free Android VPN and proxy app. Its main jobs, as the developer lists them, are reaching blocked websites, encrypting traffic on shared networks and keeping your real IP address out of view.
It suits people who want a simple switch rather than a configurable VPN. The listing puts most of its weight on the single connect button and the country list behind it.
Connecting to servers in 60+ locations
The app offers a list of more than 60 proxy servers spread across countries worldwide. You pick a server or connect with one tap, and the listing says you can switch between locations as you need.
The developer describes the servers as cloud proxies meant to speed up bandwidth. The listing also claims there is no speed or bandwidth limitation, though these are the developer's own statements.
Protecting browsing on public Wi-Fi hotspots
A hotspot VPN mode is built for shared networks such as cafe or airport Wi-Fi. It encrypts the traffic from the device so that others on the same network cannot easily read it.
The listing also describes private browsing, meaning browsing without being tracked. These are features the developer advertises rather than detailed behaviours it documents.
Unblocking sites and routing apps by country
The app is positioned for unblocking sites that are restricted where you are. Instead of routing the whole phone, you can proxy selected apps or individual sites and send them through a server in a country you choose.
The listing names IP masking, which it calls IP vanish or IP fake, to hide your address from the sites you visit. It also says the proxy works for VoIP calls, so voice apps can use the same routing.
