This is a video player for Android that sends ordinary video files into a VR headset view. You pick a file from your device, then choose a viewing mode. The developer names movies, personal recordings, travel clips and entertainment content as the things it is meant for.
It needs a compatible VR headset to show the VR modes. Without one, you are watching the same video on the phone screen, so the headset is the main reason to use it.
The VR Player mode takes a normal video and shows it in a VR viewing layout for a headset. The listing says you can change the zoom, the size of the VR lens area, the playback speed and the rotation of the video while it plays.
The developer describes the controls as simple and says they are meant to make playback more comfortable. Those are the developer's words and this page does not test them.
The 360° Video Player shows an ordinary video inside a 360° space. You look around by moving your finger on the screen or by tilting the device, which the listing calls motion controls.
Three layouts are offered: 360 View, Full View and SBS 360 View. The listing does not explain the difference between them beyond their names, so the choice comes down to which one you open.
The Side-by-Side player shows the video as two halves, one for each eye, which is the layout many headsets use for stereo-style viewing. It has the same adjustable zoom, playback speed and rotation as the VR Player.
Zoom is also available on its own in the video zoom controls, which let you zoom in or out to change how the picture fills the view.
