What this wallpaper library is for

Wallpapers HD - Backgrounds 4K is a library of wallpapers and background images for Android phones. It is aimed at people who want to change their lock screen or screensaver often and prefer high-resolution pictures to choose from.

The developer says the images work on phones from Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei and other brands. Most of the catalogue is built around games, anime and pop culture characters, so the search and tag features are the main way in.

Finding wallpapers by keyword

You type a name into the search bar and the app returns matching backgrounds. The listing's examples are Joker, Fortnite and Free Fire, so a search works for a game, a character or a franchise.

Results are full-size images you can preview before setting them, so a search is the quickest way to find one specific picture.

Browsing wallpapers by tag

Each picture has a label strip along its bottom edge. The label shows the tag name, such as Goku or Pubg, along with the image's resolution and how many times it has been downloaded and viewed.

Tapping a tag opens every wallpaper filed under it. This is useful when you want a set of images on one theme rather than a single picture.

Resolutions and setting a wallpaper

Images are listed at 1080x1920 (Full HD), 720x1280 (HD) and 1440x2560 (QHD). The resolution is shown on each picture, so you can pick the size closest to your screen.

Once you have an image, you can set it as your lock screen or screensaver. The listing says this is free.
