Wanderlog - Trip Planner App

What Wanderlog is for

Wanderlog is a trip planner for Android that covers most kinds of travel, including road trips and trips with a group. It is built around the trip itself: one place to lay out where you are going and what you will do there. The listing presents it as suited to people who plan their own travel rather than booking through a single agency.

The developer's description centers on three jobs: building an itinerary, recording reservations, and marking places on a map. Collaboration and a shareable guide come after the trip is done.

Building an itinerary and recording bookings

You create a trip itinerary in the app and add to it as you plan. Flight, hotel and car reservations can be stored alongside the itinerary, so the bookings for a trip sit in the same place as the plan. The listing does not describe importing bookings from email or other apps, so the reservations are entered as part of the trip.

Finding places to visit on a map

The app shows places to visit on a map. This is the part of the planning where a trip's stops, sights and destinations are laid out geographically. The listing describes the map as a way to view places, not as a navigation tool.

Planning with friends and sharing a guide

Trips can be worked on with friends, which suits group travel where several people need to see the same plan. After the trip, the developer lists the ability to share a travel guide, meant for other travelers to look at for ideas. Collaboration and guide sharing are described as features of the app, with no further detail given in the listing about how they are set up.
