What the app covers and who it suits

Weather Forecast reports current weather and observations for locations around the world. It searches for your address on its own, so your local weather is the first thing it shows.

The listing describes a simple interface where all the weather information is reached with a touch. It is aimed at people who want to check conditions quickly rather than work through charts.

Reading current conditions

The main reading is the current temperature, given in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Alongside it the app lists the weather condition, atmospheric pressure, relative humidity, dew point and visibility distance.

These readings are the ones you would use to judge how the air feels and how far you can see. The listing gives no further detail on how each is measured.

Wind, precipitation and sun times

Wind is shown as both speed and direction. Precipitation is reported in several different units, so you can read rainfall or snowfall in the measure you prefer.

Sunrise and sunset times are calculated for the time zone of the city you are looking at, not your phone's clock. That makes them usable for places you are travelling to.

Planning the coming week

Beyond today, the app gives a seven-day forecast. Each day carries the same set of readings as the current conditions, so you can compare the coming week with what it is like now.

Because the location is found automatically, the forecast is for your area unless you pick another place. Checking the week ahead takes no more steps than checking today.
