This page needs its stylesheet to be shown
The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.
Allow CSS for this site — including in any content blocker or privacy extension that may be stopping it — then reload the page.

This is the official Wikipedia reader for Android, made by the Wikimedia Foundation. It gives access to more than 40 million articles, written in over 300 languages, from a phone or tablet. The developer describes it as ad-free and free of charge.
It suits anyone who reads Wikipedia regularly and wants a dedicated reader instead of a browser tab. The developer says it does not track users, and the Foundation is funded mainly through donations, not advertising.
The build we hold is Wikipedia 50612-r-2026-10-19 (APKS split bundle) for Android 10 and up.

The search bar at the top of the app finds articles by name, and a separate search runs inside an open article. Voice search is available, and the listing also says you can search with emoji.
You choose your preferred languages in settings and move between them while browsing or reading. The same topic can be opened in several language editions without starting a new search each time.
Saved articles go into reading lists called "My lists", which you name yourself. A single list can hold articles written in different languages.
The developer says saved articles and lists sync across your devices and stay readable without an internet connection. The app is built around this kind of planned reading, such as loading a set of articles before a trip.
The Explore feed collects current events, popular articles, freely licensed photographs, events on this day in history, and articles suggested from your reading history. You can adjust which parts of the feed you see.
Text size can be changed, and reading themes include pure black, dark, sepia and light. The developer describes the layout as free of distractions, with the focus on the article text.
Feedback is sent from inside the app: open Settings, then About, then Send app feedback. The app's code is published as open source, and the developer invites experienced Java and Android SDK developers to contribute.
The Wikimedia Foundation is a charitable nonprofit that runs Wikipedia and other wiki projects. The listing states that it is funded mainly through donations.
