Word Search is a word-finding puzzle game. A grid of letters hides a list of words, and the task is to locate and mark every one of them. The developer also lists the game under the names Word Seek, Word Find, Word Sleuth and Mystery Word.
The puzzles fit short sessions as well as longer ones, and the listing gives no reading or spelling prerequisite beyond knowing the words. It suits people who like pattern hunts and vocabulary practice, and anyone who prefers a paper word search, since the developer presents it as a replacement for pen and paper.
Words can run horizontally, vertically or diagonally, so the search has to cover every direction and not only left-to-right rows. The listing says the puzzles begin easy and become harder quickly.
When a word stays hidden, the Hints feature is there to help. The developer describes the controls as easy to learn, and the listing presents the game as one you can pick up and put down at will.
The game offers more than 100 categories, each with its own set of words to find. This lets you match a puzzle to what you feel like doing that day.
Each category can be replayed in either Time mode or Classic mode. The listing does not separate the two modes in detail, so the difference between them is best checked in the game itself.
Daily challenges are a set puzzle that you can complete for extra rewards. The listing names the rewards but does not describe what they are.
The game is built to be played without a network connection. The developer says you can play whenever and wherever you are, with no Wi-Fi needed.
