Yu-Gi-Oh! Neuron

What Neuron is for at Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG play

Neuron is a companion app for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, published by KONAMI. The listing says it can be used at Official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Tournaments, so it is aimed at players who build decks and duel in person.

Most of its tools cover the paperwork and bookkeeping around a match: reading cards, keeping deck lists, and tracking life points and other duel counters on the phone.

Scanning cards and registering decks

The camera reads Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, and the listing says it can scan up to 20 cards at a time. A player can use this to enter a deck list without typing each card in by hand.

Scanned decks are registered within the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG card database. A separate card Q&A lookup lets you check the text and rulings of specific cards, but the listing says this feature is only available in Japanese.

Running a duel with life points, dice and counters

The app calculates life points, so a player does not need to track them on paper. It also covers the other small tools a duel uses: tossing a coin, rolling dice, and placing or removing counters.

For practice, the app can simulate drawing a starting hand of 5 cards from your deck.

Card Game ID barcode and linking

Neuron displays your card game ID as a barcode on screen. The listing says the app can be linked with your current Card Game ID, which connects your profile in the app to your existing ID.
