Yumtopia: Merge & Cook

What Yumtopia is and who it suits

Yumtopia: Merge & Cook is a simulation game built around combining ingredients and rebuilding a restaurant. The story begins when Bella returns to her hometown to save her grandmother's restaurant from an industrial food company, with her cat Momo helping.

It suits players who like merge puzzles and building up a space over time. The restaurant is the main thread, and the recipes and travel give the story its reach beyond the hometown.

Merging ingredients into dishes and tools

You drag one ingredient onto another to combine them. The listing says the game includes more than 500 foods and tools to discover this way, and each new item comes from a merge you made. The puzzles are built on this combining mechanic.

Master recipes from sauces to global cuisines

Recipes range from basic sauces, such as tomato sauce, to dishes from other cuisines. The listing presents recipes as the route to becoming a top chef, so cooking through them is how you advance.

Designing and unlocking the restaurant

You design and construct the restaurant yourself. Parts of it unlock as you go, and you finish each corner at your own pace rather than all at once.

The listing describes the aim as a dream culinary space you shape, so the layout is something you build up over the course of play.

Travelling to unlock themed restaurants worldwide

As Bella travels further, new themed restaurants unlock, and you can construct them in different parts of the world. The trip is also how the game brings in authentic recipes from other places.
