What เทพมนตรา is and who it suits

If you like games where collecting a roster and arranging a team matter more than a long story, เทพมนตรา is built around that. It is a strategy game for Android in which the characters are goddesses, gods and heroes drawn from myth. The developer, Qubegames Co., Limited, rates it for ages 3 and up.

The setting is a universe where creator figures from several traditions live together. The developer names Pangu from Eastern myth, the Titans from Norse and Greek myth, and Brahma from Indian myth, and describes the present human world as formed from the wreckage of two earlier worlds that collided.

The game combines four kinds of play: summoning, team strategy, progression that continues while you are away, and competition against players on other servers. Each is covered below.

Summoning and collecting mythic heroes

The developer lists several hundred heroes from mythology waiting to be summoned. Named examples include Nüwa, Chang'e, Xiwangmu and the goddesses of the Nine Heavens, along with a large group of other classic characters.

Collecting is the main way to grow your roster. Because you can build a team from any heroes you have gathered, the size and mix of your collection shapes what you can field.

Building a team and fighting with position and skill

Teams are not limited to one faction. The developer says you can combine heroes from different mythologies freely, and that their skills are designed to work together.

Each hero has a specific position, so where a hero is placed in a formation can change how a battle goes. The developer describes the combat as a card-style strategy game, where the arrangement of your team is part of the planning.

Fights are therefore about setup as much as raw strength. Working out which heroes complement each other and where to place them is the central decision.

Progressing offline and developing each hero

The developer says experience, equipment and development resources continue to accrue while you are offline. That means progress is still made when you are not playing, and you return to find more to spend.

When you are online, leveling and developing heroes can be done in a single click, according to the listing. Combat power can also be raised with fewer steps.

The development options are several and run in parallel. Heroes can be star-upped, their equipment strengthened, divine weapons developed, and bonds unlocked. The developer describes these systems as adding strength in every area, so a hero can be built up on several fronts at once.

Competing against players across servers

Competitive modes include the arena, a world boss, guild war and a cross-server championship, with more modes listed beyond those. The developer says these pit you against players from every server, with the aim of winning the highest honour.

The cross-server modes mean the same team-building decisions matter against a much wider field of opponents than the single-player content.
