What the JOYSOUND karaoke remote is for

This is the official remote app from JOYSOUND, used to control the karaoke machines in JOYSOUND rooms from a phone. Its main job is replacing the physical remote, so searching, booking and playback controls all run on the phone. The listing describes the app as free.

Most of its functions are aimed at people who sing at a shop and want to pick songs or add video without waiting for the room's remote.

Searching and booking songs from a phone

You can search for songs and book them directly from the phone. Once songs are booked, the app also lets you change the key, pause playback and check the list of reserved songs. The listing says this is useful when the room's remote is missing or when you want to browse at your own pace.

Showing your own videos and photos on the machine screen

A feature the listing calls movie sending puts videos from your phone on the karaoke screen while you sing. The listing gives trips, weddings and couples' memory videos as examples, and says videos posted to video-sharing sites can also be shown. Photos from your phone can be used as the background too.

When no karaoke song is booked, the phone video plays on the machine with its sound, so the screen is not left empty between songs.

Guest pairing, supported machines and limits

Guest users without a JOYSOUND account can pair their phone with the shop's machine by scanning a QR code. The listing names the latest JOYSOUND X1 and says the app supports many other models, along with karaoke JOYSOUND for Nintendo Switch.

The listing also says the app does not connect to or control JOYSOUND.TV Plus or other home karaoke services.

Phone scoring and sharing a night of singing

A newer analysis scoring feature is available only on the phone, according to the listing. It is meant to score your singing while you sing.

After the visit, the app gathers the songs you sang that day and the photos you took into a set you can share with friends. The listing presents this as a way to look back on the outing afterward.
