ドコモメールアプリ

What ドコモメールアプリ is for

ドコモメールアプリ is docomo's own email client for Android. It works with the @docomo.ne.jp address that docomo issues to its mobile customers, so the app is aimed at people who already use that address and want to handle it on their phone.

The listing says it is only usable with an sp-mode contract, and customers without one cannot open it. Some functions are also limited, and the developer points to a FAQ on its site for the details.

Composing and reading mail on a docomo address

The core of the app is writing and reading email. The developer describes creating and viewing messages as a process that takes few steps, though the listing gives no further detail on the screens or the steps involved.

Because the mailbox is tied to the docomo.ne.jp address, the app is for mail sent to and from that address, not for accounts from other providers.

Where docomo notices and offers land

Alongside ordinary mail, the app receives important notices and bargain information from docomo and other services. These arrive in a folder the listing calls Message R/S, so they are kept apart from personal mail.

The listing does not say which services send messages to that folder, or how often messages arrive.

Mail and notices in one docomo app

Email and the Message R/S notices sit in the same app, so a docomo subscriber who uses both reads them in one place. The listing presents it as a single app for these two kinds of message, and it does not describe any other tools or integrations.
