■ Get Your Second Phone Number ■ International Calling & Texting with Your 2nd Line ■ Receive SMS Online for Social Platforms
Senior reviews editor
2nd Line+ is a virtual phone number app for Android. It gives you a second number that you can call from and text from, without putting another SIM card in the phone. The developer positions it for people who want to keep their main number off forms, marketplaces and social accounts.
It fits three kinds of use: a second line for personal or business contact, a number for receiving one-time codes when signing up to online services, and a short-term number for temporary needs. The listing also describes an eSIM data option for travellers, which is covered below.
The build we hold is 2nd Line - Super Phone Number 3.1.6 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.0 and up.

You pick a number from the countries the listing names. Its most popular options are the United States, United Kingdom and Canada, and it also lists numbers across Europe (including Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands), Asia (including Japan, South Korea, Singapore and India) and Latin America (including Brazil and Mexico). The listing says a number takes seconds to set up.
Once you have a number, you can make calls and send SMS from it. The listing mentions WiFi calling and VoIP as ways the calls are carried, and it advertises unlimited texting and calling on the second number. It also says you can run several numbers from one app, so you can keep different lines for different contacts or purposes.
The main use the listing points to is receiving verification codes. You can give the virtual number to services such as Telegram or Tinder when they ask for a phone number, then read the one-time or activation code the app receives. This lets you register for accounts without giving out your real mobile number.
The listing also says the app can be used for an online account where you do not want your personal phone linked to it.
Some numbers are meant to be short-lived. The listing describes creating a burner or disposable number for a single signup or temporary service, and then deleting it when it is no longer needed. The developer presents this as a way to cut down on spam calls and messages to your personal number.
Deleting a number is a manual step you take in the app. Numbers you have finished with can be removed at any time, so your list stays limited to the lines you actually use.
Alongside the phone numbers, the listing describes eSIM internet data. You can compare eSIM data plans for different countries, buy one for a trip, and activate it in minutes. The developer says this is meant to avoid roaming fees by connecting you to local networks.
These plans are paid for through your Google Play account. The listing states that subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, and that you manage them in Google Play settings. It also describes both short-term and long-term plan options.
