4k Video Downloader and Player

A video saver for social media clips

4k Video Downloader and Player is built around a simple habit: seeing a clip on a social site and wanting to keep it. It pulls videos from several social media sites and saves them in HD or 4K, then plays them back offline in its own player. Reels and short clips are named on the listing as a specific use.

It suits people who save clips to watch later, on a commute or without a connection, and who would rather keep those files inside one app than in a phone gallery. The listing describes three parts that work together: a browser, a progress tab and a player tab.

Finding and saving videos from social sites

The built-in browser is where downloads start. You can type or paste a website link, or browse social apps inside the browser itself. According to the listing, a Download button appears at the bottom of the screen once a video begins playing.

Downloads can be saved in HD, 4K, MP4, WMV or FLV. The listing says you pick a format to suit what you need, and choose which videos to download based on how much storage is free on the device.

Reels are named as a feature in their own right, so short-form clips are one of the stated uses.

Managing several downloads at once

You can run several downloads together, and they continue in the background while you use other apps. The progress tab shows each file as it moves, and any download can be paused or stopped at any point.

If a download fails, the listing says it resumes rather than starting over. Several files can be fetched at the same time, and the same download manager keeps track of the videos you have already saved.

Playing, sharing and securing saved videos

Saved videos play in the built-in player, so they can be watched offline without leaving the app. The player includes a playback speed control and a night mode.

Videos can be shared with friends from inside the app. The listing also says downloaded files can be kept secure within it, under a private downloader feature.
