An Indonesian Bible for reading and listening

Alkitab Terjemahan Baru is an Indonesian-language Bible app published by Faith Comes By Hearing. It shows the Bible text and, for the New Testament, a recorded reading you can play alongside it. The developer describes it as free to download and use. The publisher also runs Bible.is, which it says covers the Bible in more than 1700 languages.

It suits someone who wants to read Scripture in Indonesian, follow along while listening, or keep a personal record of passages they return to.

Following the text while the audio plays

When the New Testament audio plays, each verse is highlighted in the text as it is read, so you can keep your place. Chapters turn with a swipe, and the font size can be adjusted. A night mode is available for reading in the dark.

The developer notes that complex scripts display without installing extra fonts. Navigation runs through a drawer menu, which the listing describes as a new interface.

Marking, noting and searching verses

You can bookmark verses, highlight them, and add notes. A word search lets you look for terms across the Bible, so you can find passages you remember only in part.

Any verse can be shared from the reading screen to WhatsApp, Facebook, email, SMS and other services.

Daily verse reminders and verse wallpapers

A verse of the day can arrive as a daily reminder. You turn it on or off and set the notification time in settings. Tapping the notification lets you listen to that verse or turn it into a wallpaper.

The wallpaper creator places a chosen verse on photo backgrounds, with other customization options. The finished image can be shared with friends or on social media.
