What the gym workout planner is for
Alpha Progression Gym Tracker is a workout planner and lifting log for people who train with weights and want a program written for them. It covers the planning side, the record of each session, and the numbers to aim for on the next set.
The listing presents it as suited to a first gym session as well as to advanced bodybuilding training. Beginners and experienced lifters both use the same planner, which sets the program from the inputs you give it.
Building a training plan by frequency and muscle
You pick how many days a week you train and which muscles you want to target. The planner then builds a program from those choices. The listing says the plans are made for both men and women.
Common splits are included: full body, upper lower, and push pull legs (PPL). The listing says the plans can run from heavy strength work to high volume hypertrophy training, so the same tool covers both lifting for strength and lifting for muscle size.
Logging sets and choosing weight and reps
The app keeps a record of each workout you track. For the next set, it gives a suggested weight and number of reps, so you do not have to work out the target from memory or from your last session.
Because the log stores what you did, the suggestions for the next set come from your own training history. The listing describes this as the core of the app: it tells you exactly how much to lift and how many reps to do.
Writing your own workout routines
If you prefer your own program, you can create custom workout routines instead of using a generated plan. The listing presents this as full customization, so the planner and your own routines can sit side by side in the same app.
This suits someone who already has a split they follow and wants a place to log it, or who wants to change exercises and structure without starting from the planner's template.
