This page needs its stylesheet to be shown
The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.

AVG Protection is a security app for Android phones and tablets. It is built around malware detection, with ransomware, spyware and phishing named as the main threats it watches for in real time.
The listing presents it as one app covering several areas: protection against threats, network safety, privacy controls for apps and photos, and some cleanup tools. It suits someone who would rather manage these from one place than install a separate tool for each.
The build we hold is AVG Protection 25.22.0 (APKS split bundle) for Android 9.0 and up.

AVG Protection scans installed apps and files for viruses, malware and spyware. It also checks websites for harmful content, and the listing says this works in Android's default browser and in Chrome.
The VPN is listed under the same protection group. It is meant to secure a user's online privacy, and the listing does not describe any other terms for it.
The Wi-Fi Scanner looks at a network's encryption and the strength of its password. It also detects captive portals, the sign-in pages that some public networks require before they give access.
A separate Wi-Fi speed test measures the connection's speed, so a network can be checked for both safety and performance from the same app.
App Locking puts a PIN, pattern or fingerprint on the apps you choose. The Vault holds private pictures behind a password, so they do not show up in the normal photo view.
App Permissions shows how much access each installed app asks for. This helps when deciding whether an app's requests fit what it does.
The cleaner removes unnecessary files to free up storage space. App Insights shows how much time is spent in each app, where data is used, and potential privacy issues the app has found.
Taken together, the usage reports and the permission view give a picture of which apps are active, which ones use data, and which ones ask for the most access.
