BlockSite is a blocker for apps and websites on Android. You list the things that pull your attention, and the app stops them opening during the times you set. The developer says more than 5 million people use it.

Blocking apps and websites with block lists

Block Lists are the core of the app. You add websites and apps to a list, and BlockSite stops them opening while the block is active. You build the lists yourself, so you choose which sites and apps go in.

The free App Blocker takes up to 5 apps. Block by Words works on web addresses instead: it blocks any URL containing a keyword, so a block on 'face' also catches facebook addresses.

Device Sync applies the same blocks across all your devices. The listing says blocking works through Android Accessibility services, which is how a blocked app is stopped from opening.

Setting schedules and focus sessions

Schedule Mode lets you set daily routines. You decide when apps and sites can be reached, so a block can cover working hours and lift when it is time to rest.

Focus Mode is a Pomodoro-style timer. It splits work into timed sessions with short breaks in between.

App Time Limit is a separate control. You set how long you can use a given app, and the listing suggests social media, streaming apps and games as the usual targets.

Premium controls for stricter blocking

Redirect Mode sends a blocked visit to a page you choose, instead of the block screen. The listing's example replaces YouTube with a calendar or email. Category Blocking covers thousands of sites and apps grouped by topic, including adult, social media, shopping, news, sports and gambling.

Password Protection locks the settings, so a block cannot be undone on impulse. Uninstall Prevention stops the app being removed without a password. Custom Block Pages let you add motivational images, quotes or memes.
