What BANDAI TCG + covers for Bandai card events

BANDAI TCG + handles the administrative side of Bandai trading card game tournaments. It covers finding an event, applying to it, checking in on the day, and reporting results afterwards. Sign-in requires a BNID, Bandai's account system.

The app suits players who enter these tournaments and want each step on their phone instead of through separate channels. It is organised around the event itself, so the same app carries a player from the search stage through to the match history.

Finding tournaments and applying to them

Official tournaments and participating stores can be searched within the app. Once a player finds an event, the app handles the application for participation.

Before applying, players can search for cards and build decks. Registration is done separately for each card game title, so a player entering more than one game keeps those entries apart.

Checking in and receiving matchups on event day

On the day of a tournament, the app provides a check-in step using a 2D code and, for events that support it, location information. Location-based check-in only works for tournaments and events that enable it.

Once pairings are set, the app can confirm a player's matchup. Push notifications for matchups are sent only when the tournament operator chooses to send them.

Reporting results and reviewing past matches

After each game, players file a result report through the app. The results feed a match history that a player can look back through later.

The match history gives a record of a player's past games within the app, so earlier events can be checked without leaving it.
