Bing Wallpapers

What Bing Wallpapers is and who it suits

Bing Wallpapers is an Android app from Microsoft Corporation that gives you the photographs Bing has shown on its homepage over roughly the last ten years. You can browse them, read about each one, and set one as your phone's wallpaper.

It suits people who want a changing photo on their home or lock screen and like knowing where a picture was taken. The listing is rated for all ages.

Browsing the Bing homepage image archive

Each image comes with a short write-up covering the location, the photographer, and the reason Bing featured it. That makes the archive usable as a way to learn about places as well as a source of pictures.

The filter narrows the collection by color, by category and by location. The developer also lists a plain solid-color background for times when you want the screen without a photo.

Setting a wallpaper that updates every morning

The developer says the app adds new images daily, in step with the Bing homepage. You can set your wallpaper to change automatically, so each morning the phone shows a different image without you choosing one.

Images can be set as the mobile wallpaper directly from the app. The app works in both portrait and landscape orientation.

Finding specific wallpapers with Bing search

A built-in search uses Bing's image search to look for particular wallpapers. You can use it to find a subject or style you want, rather than relying only on the homepage archive.
