What kind of pixel-art logic puzzle this is

Block-a-Pix is a logic puzzle game. Each puzzle is a grid with clues placed in various cells, and the goal is to divide the whole grid into rectangular blocks that follow the rules. When the blocks are placed correctly, they reveal a pixel-art picture.

The developer describes the puzzles as deductive and artistic, aimed at people who enjoy working through logic problems over a long stretch of play. The picture that appears at the end is the reward for each solve.

Placing and erasing blocks with the fingertip cursor

To make a block, you press and hold a finger on a clue. Once the cursor fills that square, you drag into neighbouring squares to extend the block. The developer says this cursor makes large grids easier to fill accurately.

To remove a block, double-tap it or use the eraser button above the puzzle. Both methods are listed in the app description.

Tracking progress across puzzle volumes

The puzzle list shows a graphic preview for every puzzle in a volume, and each preview changes as you solve it. This lets you see how far along a whole set is without opening each puzzle.

A Gallery view shows the same previews at a larger size. It is an alternative way to browse the progress of your puzzles.
