What Bluey: Let's Play! is
Bluey: Let's Play! is a simulation game built around the house where Bluey lives with her family, drawn from the animated TV show. It is aimed at preschool children and toddlers, with the listing saying the age range is 2 to 9. Parents and other family members can join in as well.
The game is a playset rather than a set of levels. You move around the house and its backyard, picking things up and using them in whatever way you choose. Bingo, Bandit, Chili and the rest of the family appear throughout.
Exploring the Heeler family home
The house is the main place to explore. Each room has objects to find and things to try, and the listing says there are hidden surprises to discover. A few specific activities are named: hunting for longdogs, playing Pop up Croc, and listening to Bluey's music.
Because the house is the whole game, most of the play happens while you wander from room to room looking for what is new.
Pretend play and stories in each room
Every room is meant for open-ended pretend play. You can invent your own stories as you go or act out a favorite episode moment. The game leaves the plot to the child.
Tea parties are named as one example of what you can set up. The listing also describes play like keepy-uppy, bouncing on the trampoline, splashing in a tub of bubbles and swinging in the backyard.
Cooking, building and backyard games
In the kitchen you can cook recipes from the show, and outside you can help build a pizza oven in the backyard. Objects respond to taps and drags, so you move things and use them directly.
The backyard also holds the outdoor games: keepy-uppy, the trampoline, the tub of bubbles and the swing.
Coloring pages and who it suits
The app includes toddler coloring games and kids' coloring pages built around scenes and characters from the Bluey world. This is a separate activity from the house, and it is meant for younger children learning to color.
The listing says some app content requires a paid subscription, so not everything in the app is available without one. The developer, Budge Studios, presents it as a game for toddlers and young children that adults can play alongside.
